Teams will start as they are in the real NHL and must always consist of 12 forwards, 6 defenseman, 1 goalie and 7 reserve players. The reserve players can be of any position, in any league as long as they're property of the team you start with.
Each GM must submit their own roster, and at the end of the year, 10 players will be unprotected for a draft where the team that finished last will get 1st pick and so-on.
ex: I start with Dallas. My roster is that of Dallas Stars players. Morrow, Robidas, Turco, Richards, Niskanen, ect.
There is NO salary cap.
Points system is as follows..
1 goal = 1 point
1 assist = 1 point
1 win = 2 points
1 SO = +1 points
ex: Brodeur gets a SO, he gets you 3 points
ex: Iginla has 89 points in the NHL, thats 89 points in the RKHL
ex: Kipper goes 45-24-5 with 4 SO's, thats 94 RKHL points
For injuries, you are allowed one roster move a day between your roster and bench. However, you cannot change the same player all week long. Once you make a change, there is a week freeze on that player.
For Free Agents, you are allowed 2 a month to a max of 10 all year.

Trades
Trades are allowed at any time during the year. There are no deadlines. However. if you make a trade late at night or on a holiday, I cannot guarantee your roster will be updated the next morning.
If 2 players from Team A are sent to Team B for one player, Team A must pick up a free agent or the transaction will not be considered complete. You must carry 50 players at all times. Likewise, if you exceed 50 players due to a trade, you must drop players to the free agent list at the same time as the trade occurs
BOTH owners must submit a request each, to prove the trade is accurate. Please use the message board for all transactions.
The RKHL reserves the right to disallow any trades that affect the integrity of the League.
Rosters

At the end of the year, 6 forwards and 4 defenseman per team will be unprotected for a draft where the team that finished last will get 1st pick and so-on. The rkhl will also consider expansion where the new team will get first crack at the Free Agents and drops.

Free Agents
Players that are currently in a team's lineup may be dropped to the Free Agent list in order to pick up a new player
Any player signed or unsigned in the NHL, AHL, IHL, or a foreign league, etc. is considered acquirable in this League.
However, regarding prospects...A player must have played at least 5 NHL games before they are a Free Agent.
ex: Cody Hodgson, Jordan Eberle, Thomas Hickey, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Jacob Markstrom, ect. are not on anyone's roster to start, and cannot be signed as FA's till they've played 5 NHL games.
Free Agents are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Whoever requests the free agent first, receives that player.
Each team is allowed 2 Free Agent's a month, to a max of 10 a season.
